Here are a few photos I shot yesterday and today (while our home is still super clean and tidy). It’s so bittersweet to sell this house! I want to tell you all thank you so much for your kind messages about our move and for lifting me up during this transition. I appreciate you all and hope that I can reciprocate the support through our community!
My Home Decor
I am very much on a budget so a lot of what you see is what we already had, styled to my taste. I do invest in some pieces here and there but I really love to find affordable decor and furniture pieces that are versatile and can be styled many ways!
We have some well-loved pieces in our home (like our couches) that we’re pretty much ready to say goodbye to. We’ll be upgrading a few things when we move into our new home as well – like getting a king-size bed and a new dining table – and I can’t wait. But if your home is “normal” too – I just want to encourage you. You CAN use what you have to make a space that you love!
Also, I really can’t narrow down my style but if I had to describe it I would call it transitional. I like a mix of modern, traditional, rustic, refined… and then I even like a little bit of boho here and there. Don’t feel like you have to conform to a design style. You can be eclectic and create beautiful spaces!
I really wanted to replace all the light fixtures (including this one) and put a nice cozy sectional in here. BUT this fireplace is still one of my favorite parts of our house. Here’s where you can read about our fireplace remodel!
