If you’ve ever gotten frustrated with earning small commissions on LIKEtoKNOW.it and felt like it’s just not worth the effort, this post is for you. As a social media manager with several blogger clients AND a micro-influencer, I have become somewhat of a LIKEtoKNOW.it guru. This year I started practicing some methods on LTK that helped me to triple my LIKEtoKNOW.it earnings compared to all of last year, and it’s only July. I also manage my clients’ LTK content and consult on best practices. I’ve learned a lot about how to make LIKEtoKNOW.it really work for content creators in the last year, and I’m going to help you to increase your conversions!

Here are 5 ways you can make more sales on LIKEtoKNOW.it – without overdoing it with try-ons, shooting more content, or experiencing burn out!

5 Steps to Increase Sales on LIKEtoKNOW.it

Post in the App 5 Times A Day

Does that sound daunting? Don’t worry. Your 5 posts a day don’t have to be brand new LTK posts or links! LTK is NOT like Instagram or other social platforms. You can reuse old posts and share them several times. (Even posts from years past as long as the products are linkable!) LIKEtoKNOW.it is more likely to show your content to app users if you’re active on a daily basis. They suggest posting to the app 5 times daily. I first increased my activity by posting 3x daily, and then increased to 5 posts daily. I’ve found that this increases my visibility on the LTK app and therefore also increases my LTK earnings!

Don’t have enough photos to repurpose day to day? I use Canva to create collages that I can link up for my followers – and that means no extra try-ons or photoshoots! By using a combination of collages and photos, I find that I’m able to post more, and not stress about hitting my goal of 5 posts daily.

Recycling your content also follows the marketing rule that a consumer needs to see a product 6-7 times before purchasing. I’m still making commissionable sales on posts I shared several months ago just by recycling them in the app. You can check out my LTK profile if you want to see how I implement this!

Use Key Search Words to Optimize Your LTK Posts

This one is easier than it sounds! Using key search words in your captions increases the likelihood of a LTK app user finding you when they search for a particular item. I’ve gained about 100 followers in the LIKEtoKNOW.it app in the past month and I suspect it’s from using key search words.

Instead of posting a beach picture that just says “beach gear”, think about what people might actually search for when shopping for beach gear. Women’s swimsuit, beach umbrella, waterproof speaker, etc. are more specific terms that someone might actually search for when shopping for beach items. Include specific, key search words in the beginning of your caption so that you’re more likely to be a top search result!

Post on LIKEtoKNOW.it at Optimal Times!

We do this on Instagram and other social apps, so why wouldn’t we post at optimized times on the most utilized shopping app? According to LIKEtoKNOW.it, the best times to post are between 12-2pm and 5-8pm CST. And the BEST day for shopping according to LTK is on Sunday, so don’t skip posting on the weekend!

Include Product Details on LTK posts

Don’t forget that when people are shopping, they are more likely to buy if they know how something fits, what size it is, and other key product features. Make sure to include key product details in your LIKEtoKNOW.it posts because it may make a difference on if someone decides to purchase from your link or find another product.

Share & Reshare your Posts to Social Platforms

Don’t stop at posting your LTK post once to your Instagram feed, where it will sit to eventually be lost. Share (and reshare) your posts to social platforms to keep the content relevant and fresh in the minds of your readers and followers. I promise you, you’re not annoying anyone. Following the rule of thumb that a potential consumer needs to see a product 7 times before they purchase, means you need to share your LTK-linked content at least that many times.

Here’s how I keep my content relevant and increase sales without annoying my followers: I initially share the LTK content in my feed and stories. Then later in the week, I share it again in stories. I started doing a “round-up” once a week on my IG stories called “Recently Linked in LTK”. I share all of the things I’ve linked that week in LTK and then some other seasonally-appropriate content. And I do this on repeat week after week. In Pinterest, I share my LTK roundups as Idea Pins, which are getting a lot of attention and are favored by the Pinterest algorithm right now.

Bottom line is, you have to put in the leg work work to convert your social platform followers to LTK shoppers. Share how followers can shop your links. Teach your followers how to follow you in the free LTK app, and share your content across platforms frequently. You CAN increase your sales on LTK.
